| Louise Cutting Professional Techniques |
|
Louise Cutting of Cutting Lines Design will return to Waechter's this fall for two and a half days of non-stop learning. Louise will work her magic with Cutting Line Designs patterns to help you understand the importance of taking numerous body measurements accurately to obtain a well- fitted garment. During the "hands-on" techniques part of the weekend, you will learn the professional way of sewing the details in different sections of a garment. You'll execute each technique and create a workbook of samples so that you will create beautiful garments while making efficient use of your time in your home studio. For example, create the best-looking collar band, sewn completely by machine...stitch a "cool" collar with foolproof corner edge stitching...setting in a high-capped sleeve with no gathering stitching....AND much more! Discussions will take place throughout the weekend that will add to your sewing ambitions and fashion sense. Plus, Louise will work with you on your personal sewing questions along with helping you shop for coordinates to build your color wardrobe.

Louise’s latest project is her Cutting Line Design Patterns. The most famous of which is the “One Seam Pant”. To date she has sold 22,000 of this pattern alone. Her patterns are clean simple shapes and modern lines for a peaceful balance and easy elegance that is very wearable. Her years of experience have helped her to compile a series of six booklets on “Expert Tips and Techniques for Fine Sewing”. Louise has much to teach and we at Waechter's Silk Shop are thrilled to have her in Asheville. |

Dear Joyce,
I know it’s belated, but I want to thank you for our fabulous Sewing Retreat in November. I learned a lot, reclaimed some confidence in fitting and am most inspired to create?
So I noticed the dates are set for the next Sewing Retreat with Linda and Louise. I’m enclosing my $100.00 deposit so I can go again.
The handling of every detail-even box lunches, your home entertainment (what a fabulous home-your husband would be so proud)- all the details were cared for and I appreciate it. I thought we handled the renovating hotel very well!
I do want to say, if I lived closer, I would come to many classes. You and your staff are the best.
Sincerely,
Patty McKenzie

Dear Joyce,
I want to thank you and all the “Waechterettes” for a perfect four days of sewing and fellowship. I can think of no detail that was left unattended nor any request that was not immediately seen to. I know you all put in a lot of hard work and it resulted in everyone having an enjoyable, productive time. Many thanks again.
Fondly, Virginia

Dear Joyce,
WOW! What a fantastic workshop with Linda and Louise. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant: particularly you and all the Waechterettes. We are looking forward to another workshop- as are other members of our sewing group. We know this took an incredible amount of time to organize so we thank you.
