Come in to Asheville, North Carolina on either I-40 or
I-26. Go to 240. Take Exit 5B onto Charlotte Street. If coming from the
west, turn left onto Charlotte Street. If coming from the east, take a
right onto Charlotte Street.
On your right you will see a BP station. In the next block, on your left you will Pass Pet’s Delights and Pearlman’s Carpets.
Right after Pearlman's there is a large parking lot and a three story red
brick building with two signs painted on it. One says "Waechter's
Silk Shop" and the other says "City Bakery". That's our
parking lot and our front door has a sign hanging over it. You can't miss
us!
Our neighbor is City Bakery, a very European bakery with
wonderful, crusty breads, great scones and fabulous sandwiches! Asheville
is in the Western mountains of North Carolina where it stays cool and green
in the summer. We have a town filled with art and craft galleries, wonderful
restaurants and quaint bed and breakfasts. Right up the road is the historic
Grove Park Inn and Spa. Asheville is also the home of Biltmore Estate,
the family home of George Vanderbilt. Built in 1896, the 250 room mansion
is filled with art from around the world. The gardens are incredible and
the winery is excellent. Asheville has over 85 galleries, an incredible
art museum, a world class mineral museum and more wonderful, interesting
and unusual restaurants than you could sample in a year! Come visit us!
We're worth the trip!
